Industrial research
The IKV's close cooperation with partner companies from industry permits the direct and effective transfer of application-oriented research into industrial practice. The associated implementation of new scientific findings in industry represents one of the IKV's key tasks.
Industrial research projects, conducted either with a number of different companies or with individual partners, are aimed at supplying all-in, consistent solutions, starting with the initial idea and proceeding right through to the implementation of the results in the company or companies concerned.
Questions which relate to other fields are covered in our interdisciplinary cooperation with other university institutes and research facilities located throughout the world. This enables us to offer detailed solutions and, more especially, system solutions from which our research partners in industry are able to derive unrivalled benefit. Public research sponsorship organisations also provide support for cooperative research of this type.
The links established between public authorities, private industry and academia ensure that optimum use is made of resources and that the costs and risks are borne on a joint basis.
