The IKV's e-learning portal has been set up to consolidate and expand on the material learned in the plastics technology lectures and to serve as a forum for communication, discussion and exchanging views.

Specific case histories taken from practice and current applications from research and industry illustrate the practical basis of the lectures. With the aid of graphics, videos and 3D animations, the many facets of plastics engineering are explained in a very easy-to-understand way. In addition, an "interactive exam" has been created in which typical questions are asked with multiple-choice answers.

Students at RWTH Aachen University can put their names on mailing lists, take part in surveys or ask questions in a forum and discuss problems with one another.
