About the SAMPE Symposium 2011 and SAMPE Deutschland e.V.
The national symposium of SAMPE Deutschland e.V. has been held annually since 1995 at a German materials centre. During the two-day event with its program of scientific papers and an evening event, there is plenty of opportunity for exchanging ideas and experience. In 2011, IKV organised the event in Aachen.

The focus of the 2011 symposium was there was on production-line technologies for the manufacture of parts made of fibre-reinforced plastics. The event looked at the entire process chain, from the selection of raw materials and plant and machine engineering to the finshed part.

The Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering (SAMPE) is an organisation founded by engineers in the United States in 1944. SAMPE's aim is to further develop new materials and processes. As a global organisation, SAMPE has over 4,000 members in more than 100 trade associations and federations.
