A recap on the 2nd International Symposium on Plastics Technology
On September 5th and 6th, 2022, the IKV and the Polymer Processing Society invited all interested pioneers of plastic technology to the 2nd International Symposium on Plastics Technology in Aachen. The Symposium provides scientists and practitioners in the field of plastics with an inspiring forum to learn about current research projects from all parts of the world, discuss pressing issues and new scientific findings, network, and take away impulses for the future design of plastics technology.
More than 100 scientific contributions were submitted!
Researchers worldwide at universities and in the development departments of industrial companies were called upon to submit their contributions on the topics of additive manufacturing, circular economy/recycling, lightweight construction, digitization, injection molding, as well as extrusion/compounding/rheology to shape the symposium program. The number of contributions submitted following the call for papers was a testament to the great interest in the event: more than 100 researchers from 14 countries applied to participate in the symposium with the goal of presenting their plastic technology research topics to a specialist audience.
Connecting the Symposium with the International Colloquium Plastics Technology provides a unique opportunity to experience both international scientific perspectives and practice-oriented research in a concentrated and dense manner. Due to the diversity of the events, the Symposium and the Colloquium can be booked separately; however, participants at both events benefit from reduced-price combined tickets.
Researchers at universities and in the development departments of industrial companies worldwide were invited to submit their contributions on the topics of additive manufacturing, circular economy/recycling, lightweight technology, plastics industry 4.0/digitisation, injection moulding and extrusion/compounding/rheology to shape the Symposium programme. The visitors can once again expect an extremely diverse lecture programme with scientific contributions from all over the world. All contributions will go through a review process beforehand, in which a broadly diversified and internationally staffed Scientific Committee will ensure that the content and methods presented meet high scientific quality standards.
We are looking forward to an inspiring event - we cordially invite you to experience the 2nd Symposium on Plastics Technology and to enter into an intensive discourse together!
