Frequently asked questions

In the first application phase, you will submit an abstract for a presentation or poster in English, which will be evaluated by an international Scientific Committee. You will be notified upon acceptance of your submission and provided with further information. 

You can submit articles on the following topics:

  • Compounding / Extrusion / Rheology
  • Injection Moulding
  • Plastics Industry 4.0 / Digitisation
  • Lightweight Technologies

If your abstract is accepted by the committee, you will have the opportunity to submit a full paper. The abstract submission is done exclusively via our online platform.

No. After the acceptance of your abstract for a presentation it is optional to hand in a full-paper of your research. In case of a positive review, no further fees are due for the publication of the full paper except for the participation fee.

  • The abstract has: ~2,500 characters (including spaces)
  • The full paper has: ~25,000 characters (including illustrations)
  • In the first phase of the application, please submit a short CV together with your abstract.
  • All submitted documents must be in English (British or American, but not mixed).

        The slots for the individual presentations are planned with 30 min. These should include the presentation as well as time for discussion and a short introduction to the next speaker. Accordingly, you should ideally plan about 20 min for your presentation, leaving about 10 min for questions and transition.

        The manuscript to your abstract will be published as peer reviewed Conference Proceedings with AIP Publishing.
