On April 2-3, 2025, SAMPE Germany cordially invites you to the 29th National SAMPE Symposium – the annual gathering for experts from research and industry in the field of composite materials. Under the theme "Clean Energy and Mobility: Shaping a Sustainable Future with Composite Materials," this year’s symposium focuses on advancements in composite processing, particularly concerning sustainable energy generation and future mobility. The event is organised by IKV and RWTH Aachen. SAMPE (Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering) is a leading international organisation with over 5,000 members, including engineers, technologists, and scientists. SAMPE aims to exchange technical knowledge, promote young talent, and foster international networks.

The symposium offers a series of sessions which explore various topics from different perspectives. Highlights include presentations on hydrogen technologies as the energy carrier of the future, vitrimers, production systems, innovative fiber materials, mobility solutions, as well as future developments and potentials in the aerospace sector. Additionally, fibre-reinforced composites as enablers of renewable energies will be discussed. The conference language is German.

A special attraction on the agenda is the guided tours on the Melaten campus, providing insights into the work of leading research institutions such as IKV, ITA, ika, AZL, WZL, SLA, and CWD. Conference participants will have the opportunity to experience current research projects and innovative technological developments firsthand.

As part of the symposium, the SAMPE Innovation Award will be presented for outstanding scientific master's and doctoral theses focusing on innovative material applications and new processing technologies. This award gives young talents the chance to present their research to a broad professional audience and establish important industry connections.

Throughout the symposium, research institutions and companies will have the opportunity to showcase their products and solutions during the table-top exhibition in the Aula of the RWTH main building.
