The injection moulding machine technology, which can be used flexibly in practical research at IKV, from LWB-Steinl GmbH & Co. KG has a 3,000 kN column clamping unit, 2,000 cm3 maximum injection volume, servo drive system, EFE injection system, cascade control for nozzle control of cooling channels and extensive demoulding functions. It will be used in scientific trial operation to work on current research issues.
Both parties will benefit from the already long-standing cooperation between IKV and LWB-Steinl – LWB sales manager Peter Radosai says: "We are particularly attracted by the assignment, which brings us into contact with the innovative process variants and possible applications, which in turn can be incorporated into the machine development." One example to be mentioned here is the change currently taking place in the automotive industry from internal combustion engines to electric and hydrogen vehicles, which is bringing about a change in the requirements for flexible components. IKV would like to express its sincere thanks for this modern extension of its machinery in the extrusion technology centre and looks forward to further cooperation with its partner LWB-Steinl.
