International exchange: cooperation with University of Patras intensified

IKV and the Department of Chemical Engineering of the University of Patras, Greece, have concluded an inter-institutional agreement in addition to their cooperation in the Erasmus+ programme, which is intended to deepen the cooperation between the two scientific institutions. Initially valid for the academic year 2021/2022, the partners have agreed to aim for the exchange of a certain number of students and staff in order to strengthen international scientific cooperation.

The agreement provides that in future a total of four students from IKV will have the opportunity each year to visit the partner university in Patras in an exchange semester lasting six months. In return, IKV will also host four students from Greece and create the corresponding organisational conditions for the exchange and supervision. The agreement was concluded with the Department of Chemical Engineering of the University in Greece and is valid for the academic year 2021/2022.

There are also opportunities for scientific staff members of the Institute to exchange with the university in Greece under certain modalities. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Christian Hopmann, head of IKV, is pleased about the new agreement: „I look forward to the cooperation with the Department of Chemical Engineering of Patras University and I appreciate very much that we already have been contacted by students from the Greek partner.“
