We congratulate our IKV alumnus Prof. Florian Puch on his new position as university professor at the Ilmenau University of Technology and head of the plastics technology department. Professor Puch will also be the new scientific director at the Thuringian Institute for Textile and Plastics Research (TITK) in Rudolstadt, an affiliated institute of Ilmenau University of Technology.

We are very pleased that this professorship now marks a new spot on the map of polymer research in Germany. The fact that the position is held by someone who received his training at IKV makes us particularly proud: Florian Puch headed the Compounding working group as a research assistant at IKV and completed his doctorate in 2015. We wish Prof. Puch a successful start and look forward to a fruitful and enriching collaboration.
