Privacy Statement

General

Your personal data (e.g. title, name, house address, e-mail address, phone number, bank details, credit card number) are processed by us only in accordance with the provisions of German data privacy laws. The following provisions describe the type, scope and purpose of collecting, processing and utilizing personal data. This data privacy policy applies only to our web pages. If links on our pages route you to other pages, please inquire there about how your data are handled in such cases.

Inventory data

(1) Your personal data, insofar as these are necessary for this contractual relationship (inventory data) in terms of its establishment, organization of content and modifications, are used exclusively for fulfilling the contract. For goods to be delivered, for instance, your name and address must be relayed to the supplier of the goods.
(2) Without your explicit consent or a legal basis, your personal data are not passed on to third parties outside the scope of fulfilling this contract. After completion of the contract, your data are blocked against further use. After expiry of deadlines as per tax-related and commercial regulations, these data are deleted unless you have expressly consented to their further use.

How do we collect your data?

On the one hand, your data is collected by you communicating it to us. For example, this may involve data that you enter in a contact form when you book an event or when you register as a user in the login area.

Other data is automatically collected by our IT systems when you visit the website. These are mainly technical data (e.g. Internet browser, operating system or time of the page call).

We also use cookies to enable us to perform specific functions on our website. For example, we make sure that your shopping cart is not deleted, if you leave the page for a short time and then return to the checkout.

What do we use your data for?

Some of the data is collected to ensure that the website is error-free.

Personal data that you make available to us in order to register as a member of the IKV-Sponsors' Association or as a former IKV member on our website is stored internally and used for personalised advertising, e.g. to invite you to our events and lectures. The stored data will not be passed on to third parties.

When you register for an event, we internally store the data we have received from you. We use this data for participant management (printing of name tags, entries in participant directories) and to draw your attention to other events at the IKV by post and e-mail.

What rights do you have with regard to your data?

You have the right at any time and free of charge to receive information about the origin, recipient and purpose of your stored personal data. You also have the right to demand that this data be corrected, blocked or deleted. You can contact us at any time at the address given in the imprint for this and other questions on the subject of data protection.

Newsletter

If you wish to receive the newsletter offered on this website, we require your e-mail address and information that allows us to verify that you agree with the owner of the e-mail address provided and with the receipt of the newsletter.

We use the so-called double opt-in procedure to ensure that the newsletter is sent in an agreed manner. In the course of this procedure, the potential recipient can be added to a mailing list. The user then receives a confirmation e-mail to confirm the registration in a legally secure manner. Only if the confirmation takes place, the address is taken up actively in the distributor.

We use these data exclusively for the dispatch of the requested information and offers.

Newsletter2Go is used as newsletter software. Your data will be transmitted to Newsletter2Go GmbH. Newsletter2Go is prohibited from selling your data and from using it for purposes other than sending newsletters. Newsletter2Go is a German, certified supplier, which was selected after the requirements of the data security basic regulation and the Federal Law for Data Protection.
