Martin Giersberg Sola was honoured twice within a single month for his outstanding master's thesis on the topic of "Development of a representative volume element for the analysis of damage processes in fiber-reinforced plastics." In early October, he was awarded the "SAMPE Europe Student Seminar Award" in Madrid, following his earlier recognition in March of the same year when he received the Innovation Prize from SAMPE at the national level.
At the end of October, Martin Giersberg Sola had the privilege of receiving the prestigious "Oechsler Prize," which recognises the best and most innovative final theses in the field of methods and approaches for the development and construction of plastic components. This award was presented to him on October 26th by the " Wissenschaftlichen Arbeitskreis der Kunststofftechnik (WAK)" and is sponsored by the Oechsler AG, represented at the award ceremony by Dr.-Ing. Winfried Schmidt, the Principal R&D at Oechsler.
