In April, the technical laboratory for fibre-reinforced plastics at IKV was equipped with a new winding machine. Following extensive refurbishment and assembly work in the hall, the next step is the start-up phase and the training of staff to operate the machine.
In this connection, optical sensors will be integrated into the plant engineering to monitor the tape-laying process. This is essential for the research in the Delfin consortium project, which aims at the production and optimisation of Type 4 pressure tanks used for storing hydrogen.
