The PPS Meeting is one of the world's leading conferences for polymer processing and brings together internationally renowned scientists and engineers every year. The event serves to promote scientific understanding and technical innovation by providing a discussion forum for the worldwide community of engineers and scientists in the field of polymer research and development.

While the annual International PPS Conference was held in May in Çeşme-Izmir (Turkey), the PPS Europe-Africa Regional Conference will be held from 18-21 November in Pretoria (South Africa). This year's conference is entitled: "Advanced Plastics as an enabling technology for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0)".

With his plenary lecture "Machine Learning Approach for a Reliable and Reproducible set-up of Injection Moulding Processes" Professor Christian Hopmann opened the conference program on November 19, 2019.
