Students' excursion 2019 visits companies in southern Germany

This year's students' excursion (StudEx) took the participants from Aachen via Neckarsulm to Siegsdorf close to the Austrian border.

From 11-14 June, 29 students visited production sites at Akro-Plastic, Audi, Brückner Maschinenbau, Freudenberg, Hilti, ITW Automotive and KraussMaffei. The students thus had an opportunity to get to know firms from a wide variety of different sectors: from raw material producers through processors to machine and car manufacturers.

The excursion offered not only an insight into industrial practice at the various companies, it also gave the students plenty of opportunity for networking. On the one hand, they were able to establish initial contacts with the industry and, on the other, the companies had a chance to get to know potential new employees. There was also a lively exchange between the fellow students as they explored together the places they stayed overnight and reviewed the day's events during the joint evening dinner.

IKV would like to thank all the participating companies from the IKV Sponsors' Association as well as the students for the successful event, and is already looking forward to the next students' excursion in 2020.
