Flexible, joinable bipolar plates
IKV is carrying out research into a new approach for the production of graphite-filled polypropylene compounds. The aim is to improve the mechanical properties of the compound compared with commercially available materials while maintaining the same electrical conductivity. >>> more


Elastomers of CO2
In a project entitled "Production Dreams", IKV is working together with raw materials manufacturer Covestro and other institutes of RWTH Aachen University and TU Berlin on a process that involves using greenhouse gas on an industrial scale for the production of elastomers. IKV research into optical components
IKV now has a new all-electric injection moulding machine of Type ENGEL e-motion 440/160. Rolf Saß, Managing Director of ENGEL Deutschland GmbH, handed over the machine to IKV. Filament winding with thermoplastics
IKV is researching a new approach for the production of axially symmetrical composite structures with a thermoplastic matrix. For this purpose, IKV has developed a machine technology that processes so-called "in-situ polymerising thermoplastics" by filament winding. >>> more
